Joseph Harvey Butts

Joe lived in Port Morien, the son of Harvey and Barbara (Clements) Butts. Joe was a construction worker, fisherman, and truck driver for H. Hopkins and other companies. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and ice fishing. He enjoyed collecting old cars and working on cars. Musically inclined, he played drums in the band Country Rain in his younger days. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 55 and a member of St. John’s United Church.

Joe is survived by daughter Tanya Butts(Ontario) and her children Morgan, Mason and Maryn Aucoin and daughter Carvell Blois (New Brunswick), companion Georgeann Roberts, brothers Gordon (Annie), Charles (Barbara), Eric (Donna) and sister June (Late Earl) Cathcart and many nieces and nephews, especially nephew Harvey Butts who travelled to Halifax with him.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Mary (Newell).

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home. There will be no visitation per Joe’s wishes. A graveside service will follow at a late date.
