It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Vickers on Friday June21,2013.

At the Glace Bay Healthcare Complex, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Glace Bay he was the son of the late Margaret & Joseph Vickers.

Joe was employed with the Glace Bay Miners Forum and he was an icemaker for many years.

Joe is survived by brother Gordie (Ruth); Glace Bay sisters Joyce (Russell); Glace Bay, Valerie (Gerard); Dominion, Janie; Sydney, Mary; Glace Bay, Gail (James) ; Glace Bay and sister in law Cecelia; Glace Bay and special little buddy Jasmine and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Joe was predeceased by brothers Tommy, Freddie and sisters Isabell and Frances.

As for Joe request cremation has taken place under the direction of Patten Funeral Home 71 Union Street Glace Bay . Visitation will be held on Wednesday June26, from 10-11am. Funeral service will be held at 11am on June 26, in Patten Funeral Home Chapel With Rev Donald MacDonald Officiating . Burial will be in Green wood cemetery .
