It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret L. MacDonald in her 85th year at the Victoria Haven Nursing Home on March 25, 2012. Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Albert and Annie Mae Penney. She was a long time employee of Glace Bay General Hospital. Margaret was a member of Epworth United Church. Surviving are daughter Nancy (Clyde ) Dean Glace Bay, sons Wesley (Patricia ) Penney Oromocto NB, Jack (Rose) MacDonald Dartmouth NS , sister Gloria Campbell Edmonton AB, brothers Richard (Lolly) Glace Bay, Arthur (Ethel ) Moncton NB, sister in-law Lorraine Penney Glace Bay . Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Donald (Jeff) MacDonald, sister Gladys Ferguson and brother Albert.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Patten Funeral Home 71 Union Street Glace Bay. There will be no visitation or Funeral service to honor Margaret’s wishes.
