Margaret May (MacLeod) Shepard passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and is survived by daughters Charlene (Fred) Snow, Donkin, Wendy (Walter) MacKinnon, Sydney and sons Eric (Valerie) Shepard, Port Morien, Roger (Linda) Shepard, Albert Bridge and Kirk (Leslie) Shepard, Albert Bridge; her sister Annie (Wilfred) Edmond, Donkin and sister in law Ruth Armstrong.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Erica, Dale, Roger, Alisha, Sandy, Dennis, Megan, Kirk Jacob and Trent and nine great grandchildren; Madison, Noah, Nate, Blake, Aiden, Jonah, Austen, Avery and Nora as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Murray, beloved son Sandy, beloved infant son Roy Kenneth, mother and father Agnes (Kelloway) and Alex MacLeod, brothers Billy (Wheeler),Jack and Jimmy as well as sister Phyllis Adams.

In the early 70’s Marg sold real estate in Sydney and retired after a career with the government at the Registry of Deeds.

Our mother was famous for her chocolate cake with boiled icing, her handiwork and her flair for fashion. She will be remembered for her generous, young heart and profound love for her family.

In following Margaret's wishes, there will be no service and a private, family burial at a later date.

Aunt Maggie I remember all the fun times I had at your cabin on the Myra and playing with Charlene and Wendy when we were young. I liked your laugh and sense of humour and you were such a pretty thoughtful lady. Always looked forward to seeing you. You will always be missed . ❤️❤️
