Mike “Griz” Griffin passed away on Thursday March 24,2016 at home.
Born in Glace Bay he was the son of the late Redmond and Mary “Mayme” Griffin.
Mike’s passion in life was hiking all back trails and seeing new things in nature across Cape Breton, he also enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow.
Mike is survived by Helen Kitchin his ex-spouse/friend; daughter Susan Stevenson; son John Cooke; grandchildren Autumn, Arianna, Alexis and Pearl; sisters Patsy, Gene, Hubba and Joan; brother Jacky.
Besides parents Mike was predeceased by a sister Betty.
Cremation has taken place, there will be a visitation/ celebration of life on Sunday April3,2016 from 2-4pm at Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St Glace Bay.
