It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful sister Myrtle Elizabeth Boutilier who passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 17, 2022. Born on November 15, 1947 to the late Gordon and Frances (Clements) Boutilier.
Myrtle spent the earlier part of her life in Toronto with her husband Sonny, helping him supervise apartment buildings. She was also a foster mother to many children. Myrtle returned home in the early nineties after the passing of her husband and resided with her brother Clifford whom she loved dearly. Myrtle enjoyed watching movies, babysitting all the little ones, her fur babies and spending time with her family having many laughs.
Myrtle will be greatly missed by her surviving brothers Barry (Marlene), Tony (Brenda), sisters Gail (Ervin Harte), Gerry (Greg Sharp), Sandra (Billy) Cooke all in the Glace Bay and surrounding area. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and longtime friend Rick.
Myrtle was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Frances, husband Sonny McPherson, brothers Blair, Sheldon, Clifford, Johnny, Marvin and Francis, sisters Margaret, Wilma and three brothers in infancy Wade, Glennis and Garland.
