Richard Penney

Richard Penney passed away peacefully at the Glace Bay General Hospital on March 17,2017

Richard worked at the machine shop, Cape Breton Development Corporation, for 44 years.

Richard is survived by his wife, Florence (Lolly) Stewart, son-in-law Harry; grandson Richard (Mike), and great-grandson Mikey; granddaughter Lisa (Mike) and great-grandchildren Isaiah, Kayleigh and Jackson; grandsons Donnie, Alex and Tyler, granddaughter Katie and great-granddaughter Zoe. Richard is also survived by brothers Arthur (Ehtel) and Wesley, sister Gloria (the late Jimmy), sister-in-law Lorraine, niece Nancy who was always at his side and special family friend Mike

Richard was predeceased by his parents Albert and Annie May (Brudge) Penney, his only son Dougie and his only daughter Donna Leyte, sisters Margaret (Donnie) MacDonald and Gladys and brother Albert.

A private service will be held on Friday, March 24 for the immediate family.
