Susan E Davies

June 20, 1940September 7, 2020

It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of Susan Elizabeth Davies on September 7,2020 at home with loving family at her side. Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Katherine White of Seaview St, Glace Bay. She was employed at Shoppers Drug Mart in Glace Bay for over 20 years where she cheerfully dispensed smiles and an uncompromising passion for customer service, she also partnered with her loving husband Jack , where they ran a very successful shuttle business (Starline) for over 20 years. The first thing to know about Susan (Susie) is that everyone else came first. When one thinks of her, then one immediately would also think of family, comfort, home, fun and Love! She loved to laugh and spent many many hours with family laughing to tears (and the occasional accident). No one could light up a room like Susie, people were simply drawn to her. Two of her greatest joys were spending time with her granddaughters, Brittany and Shauna. She will be greatly missed by not only her family and friends, but anyone who knew her. Susan is survived by her loving husband Jack; 2 sons Jack Jr.(Sherry) and Keith; granddaughters Brittany(Davies) Brimicombe and Shauna Davies; sisters Lena, and Tootsie. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers Roy White, Aubrey White, Fred White and Malcolm White; sister Annie Nearing and recently deceased her sister Joyce whom resided with her. In following Susan’s wishes there will be no visitation, cremation has taken place, funeral service will take place on Thursday September 10,2020 at 1pm in My Fathers House Church with Dr. Ajuwon Emmanuel officiating. Interment will take place in Greenwood cemetery on a later date. Online condolences can be sent to family at www.pattenfuneral.com She has finally been promoted to Glory!!

To Susan's Family.. so sorry to hear of your mom's passing from Charlie and Lois. My family and I met your mom and dad some years ago while we were visiting Lena. From reading her condolences that others shared reminded me of the memories that I have of our Aunt Annie's and Aunt Olive's personalities. They were sisters of Charlie's father " Uncle Joe " and my father Reuben. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

Your mother's cousin,
