Alice Jo Homer

Alice was born May 19, 1942 in Bethany, Missouri to Dale and Sylvia Campbell. Alice married Gary Homer after she moved to Kansas City on September 6, 1969. The couple was not fortunate enough to be blessed with children, but that only made their love for each other stronger. Alice was a kind and gentle person who always had a smile for everyone. She was a loving wife, who loved Gary unconditionally. Alice loved gospel music. Alice and Gary would put Gaither music on sit and listen, and of course they would sing along.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad and two brothers.

Alice is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary Homer, her sister-in-law Vivian Liles (Joe), and many nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends who loved her very much.

Visitation will be March 12, 2022 at Linden Baptist Church at 611 NE 69th Street, Gladstone, MO 64118 at 12pm, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00pm. Following the services, inurnment will be at White Chapel Cemetery 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Alice’s life. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and hospital staff from St. Luke’s Hospice House for their time, care, dedication, and all the love that they showed to Alice and Gary.
