Alma Jean Hampton

Jean Hampton, 86, of Kansas City, MO passed away May 30, 2016 at NorthCare Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home June 2, 2016 at 11:00am, with family receiving visitors one hour prior. Burial will immediately follow in Mount Washington Cemetery, in Independence, MO. Jean was born February 17, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas to Frank and Iva Beeves. Jean was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a great-great grandmother. She was a terrific cook. She made the best pies in the world. She loved to tend to her garden. She was someone whom you could rely upon to give the best advice and the best hugs. Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul S. Goodrick; her second husband Roger E. Hampton; as well as her son Roger L. Hampton. Jean is survived by son and daughter in law Dan and Teri Hampton; daughter and son in law Debra and Michael Drum; daughter and son in law Susan and Dan Bales; and daughter Rebecca Whiles. She has 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Jean’ to NorthCare Hospice House.
