Anna Marie Cordell

Anna Marie Cordell passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at her home in Kansas City, MO. She was born on February 21, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to the late Thomas Cordell and Patricia Madrid Cordell.

Anna was the loving sister of Richard Castaneda (Cathy), Michael Cordell, Edgar Cordell, and Helen Cordell. She was the proud aunt of Patrick Cordell, Timothy Castaneda (Cassandra), Katie Padilla (Chris), Annie Castaneda, Rachel Morningstar, Jasmine Cordell, and the late Josh Cordell; great aunt of Isla Castaneda, Mason Padilla, and Autumn Padilla. She will also be missed by her aunts, her uncle, and numerous cousins.

Anna graduated from Winnetonka High School, Class of 1980. She took several classes at the Maple Woods Community College. Anna worked in retail at Macy’s, Dilliard’s, J.C. Penny, K-Mart, and Walmart before retiring. She was a member of the Northland Art League. Anna loved to paint, cook, and bake cakes. She enjoyed having friends over to cook for them. Anna also liked listening to music and singing along. Anna will be deeply missed by all, especially by her sister, Helen, whom was her best friend.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO, 64119 on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11:30 AM. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until service time. A Reception in the funeral home reception room will follow the service.
