Anson was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Wilbert and Viva Wilson. He retired after 38 years of employment with Union Pacific Railroad.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara; a grandson, Alexander Wilson; and seven brothers. Anson is survived by his children, Wesley (Bonnie), Angela (Bill) and Timothy (Shalena); 13 grandchildren; and sisters, Waneva Cook and Melba Rader.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 16 at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. Funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, July 17 at the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at White Chapel Cemetery.
