Anthony Keith Chaney

Anthony Keith Chaney, 58, of Gladstone, Missouri passed away on Wednesday October 27, 2021 at his home. Anthony was born March 5, 1963 to James Larry and Billie Marie (Curtis) Chaney in Smithville, Missouri.

Anthony attended Oak Park High School and immediately joined the US Navy serving as a mechanic working on fighter jets. After his service, Anthony got married to Michelle Chaney and together they had two children, Austin and Ashley. Anthony later married Jennifer Day and they have enjoyed each other’s company for more than 8 years.

Anthony always had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He was a handyman that would work on any project whether he knew what he was doing or not, "tinkering on things" was a hat he proudly wore. His family was very important to him as well as his cat and dog.

Anthony worked in many fields throughout his life including construction with JE Dunn, Ford Motor Co., Claycomo Plant, Waste Management, as well as many "side jobs" with friends.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father, James Larry Chaney and his brother, Reese Chaney.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; his mother, Billie; his children, Austin Chaney and Ashley Persell; his step-children, Ryan (Linsdi) Epperson, Glenna Day, and Kyle Little; his grandchildren, Bristol Hardin and Liliana Grace Persell; his step-grandchildren, Leo & Ella Day, and Lilianna Grace Epperson; and his beloved cat, Bubby and his Great Dane, Iris.

Memorial Services will be announced once plans have been finalized.
