Ariel was a true embodiment of the “American Dream,” having left his homeland of Venezuela at the age of 18 to seek opportunities for education and a better life in America.
A dedicated student, Ariel graduated from Rolla University with a degree in drafting and structural engineering. He became a civil engineer at Butler Manufacturing Company, where he ultimately rose to the ranks of international engineer, dedicating many years of service until his retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in everything he did.
However, beyond his professional accomplishments, Ariel was a vibrant entertainer who loved to make people laugh. A natural comedian, he delighted family and friends with his quick wit, humorous stories, and engaging comedy routines. His laughter was infectious, and he had the unique ability to brighten any room with his joyful spirit.
Ariel was also a passionate sports enthusiast, finding joy in both fútbol and American football. Whether watching a match or playing a pickup game, his love for sports was a significant part of his life, shared with family members who joined him in cheering for their favorite teams.
Family was everything to Ariel. He and Alana shared 58 wonderful years together, raising eight children, each of whom he sacrificed for and loved deeply. He actively participated in all their school activities, sports, music, and art, always trying to make it to their games and performances, instilling in them the values of hard work and dedication. Their bond was a shining example of partnership, built on mutual respect, support, and shared dreams.
In addition to his love for family and comedy, Ariel was an avid musician. He played the accordion and guitar, often filling their home with the rhythms of salsa music, and loved to dance, embodying the joy of life in every sway and step.
