Barbara was born on September 21, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Paul and Florence Alfreda (Gladden) Boner. On June 14, 1952, she married the love of her life, Darrell Anderson, with whom she shared a beautiful life and raised a loving family.
Barbara dedicated her life to serving others—whether through her family, her community, or her church. She was deeply involved in her children's lives and volunteered extensively. She served as PTA president, worked in the school cafeteria, was active in her church, and gave her time to Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and youth baseball leagues. Her love and care extended well beyond her immediate family—Barbara was a caregiver at heart, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Barbara was a thoughtful craftswoman; known for the handmade gifts she gave on birthdays and holidays—treasured keepsakes that live on in the homes of her loved ones. Her legacy is marked by devotion to family and faith, and by a warm, encouraging presence that her grandchildren will never forget. Gentle, rocking hugs were her hallmark and a steady reminder of her fierce love and care for each member of her family.
She was a constant source of support, comfort, and love, always ensuring her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were well fed, well cared for, and deeply cherished. Her family remembers her as faithful, active, and passionate about every stage of their lives—never missing a birthday and attending every graduation or special activity in her families lives that she could.
