Bennie J. Martin, 79 of Avondale, MO, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 2, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 20, 1937 in Clifton Hill, MO to Norman (Harold) and Mary Martin. Bennie enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He retired for the first time as a butcher and then retired a second time as a custodian for North Kansas City School District. Bennie is preceded in death by his father and mother, grandson Peter DeCuyper and daughter Tina Davis. Bennie is survived by his daughters, Tanya (Tom) Cvetan, Ramona Martin and Rene (Joe) DeCuyper; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one great granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Norman (Patty) Martin, and sister, Janet (Tom) Hardin. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 9th, at 10:00 am at White Chapel Funeral Home with family receiving guests one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association in Bennie’s memory.
