Betty was the loving mother of Jody Umphfrey, and Larry Umphfrey (Mandy), and the late Carol Page. Betty was the proud grandmother of Kevin Rust, Shahlee Sams (Matthew), Bryce Umphfrey, Tiffany Robinson (Matt); great grandmother of Allison, Ian, Charleigh, Kyle, Gideon, and Wesley Sams, and Levi and Sophie Robinson. Dylan, Michael, Anikan, Kloie and Kerstyn Rust; great great grandmother of Eden and Aubrey Rust and Carter and Kyler Rust. She is survived by her sister, Clara Irwin, and preceded in death by 6 brothers and 5 sisters. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Betty was a loving and faithful woman whose life was a beautiful reflection of kindness, faith, and love. She touched the lives of many through her generous heart, gentle spirit, and willingness to help anyone who needed a hand.
Betty found joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved spending time in the kitchen cooking meals that brought family and friends together. She had a passion for gardening, caring for the beauty around her, and preserving the fruits of her labor through canning. She created warmth and memories through her quilting, putting love and care into every stitch.
Her greatest treasures were her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment with them and took great pride in watching them grow. Her love, wisdom, and example will continue to live on through the generations she helped shape.
Betty also enjoyed the adventure of garage sales, finding treasures and sharing stories along the way. She had a giving spirit and a heart that always looked for ways to bless others. Whether through a meal, a helping hand, or a simple act of kindness, Betty made people feel cared for and loved.
Most importantly, Betty was a devoted follower of Christ. In October of 1980, she committed her life to Jesus Christ, and her faith became the foundation of who she was. She lived her life with love, compassion, and trust in the Lord, and her faith brought comfort and hope to those around her.
Betty leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, family, and kindness. Though she will be deeply missed, those who knew her can find comfort knowing she is at peace and reunited with her Savior.
Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
