Beverly Ann (Barnes) Johnson, 95, passed away January 23, 2017. She was born October 30, 1921, the second oldest of six children. She grew up on a dairy farm off Randolph Rd and I 435, where Worlds of Fun is now. She attended a one room country grade school and was a 1938 graduate of NKCHS. She worked in the office at the Bomber Plant while her husband was overseas in the Army during WWII. She was a long time member of the Worldwide Church of God, and served as the church librarian for over 20years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Margaret (Bower) Barnes; her husband Kenneth E. Johnson; three brothers Jack, Ted, Harry “Buzz” Barnes, and sister Norma Mundoff. She is survived by her youngest sister Sue Peeler; three daughters, Marylee (Jim) Harris, Alice (Philip) Kitterer, and Laurie Brown; five grandchildren April (Mike) Semanko, Kenny Harris, Julie (Lee) Bailes, Jaime (Bill) East, Jodi Boring; nine great grandchildren, Michael Semanko, Jesse Semanko, Makayla Dunn, David Seifert, Karson Harris, Ryan Bailes, Lacie Bailes, Katie Boring, Ethan Boring. Service 2:00pm Fri White Chapel Funeral Home, Gladstone. Visitation at 1:00pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
