Sue was born November 10, 1935 in Enid, Oklahoma to Hardin B. and Gladys (Mosby) Elliott. Sue married William E Stephens on January 16, 1956.
Sue is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Richard) Corona, Denise (Russ) White, and Vickie (Greg) Fitch; brother, Gene Elliott; her sister, Mary Elliott; grandchildren, David Rice, Ashley White, Jessica (Jered) Pierschbacher, Melanie Fitch, Adam Fitch, Joe Corona, and Tony Corona; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.
After graduating from North Kansas City High School in 1953, she began her working career at the NKC Bank. She set aside her career on January 16, 1956 when she eloped with William E Stephens to begin their family together. Later after William’s stroke, she pursued a career in the freight forwarding industry and retired in 2001.
Sue enjoyed all types of flowers and numerous flower beds at her home. She enjoyed hosting dinners and visits with the family as often as possible. She loved to travel to Colorado to visit her sister as well as additional trips with family across the US.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, William; her sisters, Erma Elliott Smith and Barbara Joan Elliott; and her brothers, Edwin Elliott and John H. Elliott
