He was born on May 17, 1941 the son of Alfred and Dixie (Grisham) Hoglen. He served in the U.S. Air Force. After discharged, he returned to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. After leaving the F.B.I. he went into the trucking industry as a parts counter specialist for Westfall GMC Truck and later become a delivery driver. He retired in 2007.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hoglen; daughter, Lisa Hoglen; son, Timothy Hoglen; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, and Trey; great grandchildren; and one sister, Bonnie Haynes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Rick Hoglen; and one grandson, Micheal Hoglen.
