Carl J. Albers, Jr., 94, of Kansas City, MO, passed away March 3, 2015. Graveside service will be 11am, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens with Military Honor. Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Albers; parents, Rose and Carl Albers, Sr.; brother, Bob Albers; sister Rose Marie Calder; and great granddaughter, Brittany Anne Sparks. Survivors include children, Donna (Howard) Sparks, Mary Ann Payne and Tim (Lisa) Albers; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brothers-in-law; Bob Casey, Bill Casey and Zeke Calder; and many nieces and nephews. Carl was a WWII Veteran, owner of Rose’s Place on Birmingham Rd., was a heavy equipment operator helping to build Royals Stadium, and one of his first jobs was lighting the Kerosene lamps on the Old Chouteau Bridge. He was an active member of American Legion Post 61.
