Carla Anderson

Carla moved to Kansas City in 1966 and married Virgil Anderson. Together, they had three children: Kathy, Jerry, and Michael. Carla later began working at TWA and had three more children: Cheryl, Steven, and Charlie.

Carla was blessed with eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her fun and witty personality, especially in her younger years, and for the many memories she created with her family.

Carla was preceded in death by her father, Harold Cole; her mother, Katherine Cole (Embree); her son, Michael Anderson; her daughter, Cheryl Anderson; and her granddaughter, Tiffany Fiddler.

She is survived by her brothers, Kelvin Cole, Kerry Cole, Kirby Cole, and Kevin Cole; her sister, Karen Cole; her daughter, Kathy Marshall (Anderson); and her sons, Gerald Anderson, Steve Rodkey, and Charlie Rodkey, along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and loved ones.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on October 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119.

Carla’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Avalon View for the love, kindness, and compassionate care they showed Carla during the final years of her life.

Carla will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
