Charles David Abbott

Charlie was the beloved grandson of David Abbott, Nita Abbott, Debbie Hamilton, Mike Hamilton, and Shari Hamilton. Charlie was the nephew of Scott and Tara Hamilton, Matt Hamilton and Rahawa Hagos, Jacob Abbott and Aman Adam, and Caroline Abbott. He was the cousin of Sullivan, Madeline, and Emerson Hamilton, and Desiet and Zula Hagos.

Charlie made every day an adventure. Whether he was going on long walks to Wendy’s for cheeseburgers, riding the carousel and train at the zoo, or watching butterflies in the park, Charlie never spent a day without beauty, curiosity and fun. Even on long days stuck in hospital rooms, he and his family sang songs, played with toys, and explored his world in every way he could. He was full of love, and surrounded by love. Though his life was cut short by illness, his spirit was strong, and Charlie will live on in every song we sing, every game we play, every walk we take, and every hug we give each other.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Celebration of Charlie’s Life at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64118 on Friday, May 30, 2025. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM with a Sharing of Memories 4:00 PM. Formal attire is requested so, please wear your “Sunday Best” to honor Charlie.
