I was so sorry to read this! I was googling old college friends online and was shocked and saddened about Lee's brave battle with pancreatic cancer and his passing. The memories that I would like to share are from college, we dated for awhile. First I would like to say that my sorority sisters were in awe of his Greek-god looks!! He had to be one of the most beautiful guys ever. Second, I would like to say that his passing reminded me of what a dear person he was and I think that we would be in a better position now, to understand the different paths that we were on. I think that we will have that chance and I will give him a big hug, and we will laugh with each other again.

By the way, one thing that we didn't know about each other than was that our moms were both named Hazel! That is nuts :)

The board of trustees of the village extends its deepest sympathy to Hazel and to Lee's family.  We are grateful for his volunteer service to the village as a trustee and in other capacities, as well as having been a great neighbor for many years. We will sure miss him.

I have been Lee's business neighbor in North Kansas City for many years. I enjoyed our many conversations about cars, business, politics, etc, and we provided taxi service for each other with our various car restoration projects. I certainly will miss him and those conversations, especially when his passing was so unexpected. There is a lesson in this that we are not always aware of until we loose a friend and that is that life is precious and we don't know when it will be over--we have to make the most of every day we have on this earth.

Our prayers are for comfort and understanding in this time of sorrow.  We are not sorry for where he is, but that he is gone.  Miss his wonderful council and his wit.  He will always have a special place in my heart.

Lee was always there when you needed him, to fix a computer or swing a hammer, I can't remember a time without Lee.  He will be missed but always remembered.  My prayer is the our loving Heavenly Father has Lee in his arms and surrounded not only by his loving arms, but by so many of our dearly departed family and friends. Peace and joy my cousin!
