Cheri was a TRUE friend. She was a bright, funny, happy, kind, generous person - always fun to be around! She encouraged me through a very difficult time in my life.  She was always smiling, always looking for ways to give what she could to others.   One of the memories that has stayed with me is when her sister,  and brother-in-law (who was recovering from serious heart problems), had come to visit her here in Kansas City. It was time for them to fly back to Oklahoma. We were having a blizzard. Cheri had had a concussion from slipping on ice,  months before and wasn't fully recovered.  I remember watching the three of them - all frail, getting into Cheri's car as she happily took off in the snow storm, praising Jesus for his goodness. That was Cheri. She lived her faith. She loved God, and she loved people.  

You will be so missed by all, but your love will keep us all going strong as you taught us to do. You have taught us to love and to forgive, to be patient and to wait for the good things to happen. I know you are home where you have wanted to be for a while and I am so happy and blessed to have had the life you gave me. Please know that we are good and will see you on the other side when God calls us to be with you. You are an amazing mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt to all you have known. I want you to know that I am the person I am today because of what you gave to me. I love you to the moon and back mom and as I look above I see you smiling down on me and everyone's life that you touched, Now dance, run, sing and give everyone we know up there a big kiss from me. Till we meet again mom Love you so very much. I will be waiting on that look you give me like in the photo. XOXOXOXO
