

Cheryl was a 1969 graduate of Smithville High School where she was a Homecoming Queen and a varsity cheerleader. She was Honor Queen of Job’s Daughters Bethal 37 and attended Central Missouri State University. She was a candidate for the Miss Missouri and Kansas beauty pageant. She worked for Mobil Oil and attended beauty school.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard L. Edwards and Evelyn I. Wutke; her paternal grandparents, Homer and Mary Edwards; and maternal grandparents, Oliver Henry and Caroline Pierce.
She is survived by her brother, Richard E. Edwards and wife, Linda, of Smithville, Missouri; her sister, Margie Edwards Young of Seligman, Missouri; one nephew, Robert (Jennifer) Edwards; five nieces, Amanda (Kelly) Cooper, Angela (Chris) Curtis, Heather Dannette, Amanda Hartson, and Melanie Myers; and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
She loved to write poetry and style hair. She loved being with her family and enjoying Mexican food.
A visitation for Cheryl will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, on Monday, March 25, 2024, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, 64119, followed by a Memorial service starting at 3:00 PM.
