Born on March 5, 1955, she was the daughter of Samuel and Phyllis (Cain) Phipps. She was a devoted wife, mother, GiGi, sister, and friend whose kindness and love touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Richard M. Vaughan Jr. (Kourtney), Kathleen S. Kinsella (AJ) and Thomas E. Vaughan (Robyn) and her five grandchildren, Eila, Jane, Jillian, Everett and Cameron; and sister, Vicky A. Hart. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard.
Cheryl enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, caring for her yard, hosting gatherings and celebrating holidays. She will be remembered for her strength, sense of humor, thoughtfulness and her ability to enjoy every day to the fullest.
Visitation will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119, on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 10:00 am. Cheryl's final resting place will be in White Chapel Cemetery.
In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Her family finds comfort in the many memories she leaves behind and will forever cherish the love she shared.
