On Friday April 15, 2022, Charles (Chuck) Stephen Richards Sr. passed away peacefully at age 60. Chuck was born on January 10, 1962 in North Kansas City, Missouri to Jerry H. Richards and Elizabeth S. (Bonnie) Roberts (Cello). Chuck was the youngest of three boys. He would later gain two bonus brothers when Bonnie remarried.
Chuck attended Kearney High School where he participated in wrestling. He graduated in 1980. After graduation, Chuck briefly moved to Texas before returning to Kansas City to attend Electronics Institute. He graduated in 1986 and returned to Texas where he began his over 20 year career with Texas Instruments. In 2015, Chuck moved back to Kansas City, Missouri.
Chuck loved fun, adventure, and family. His greatest joy in life was being a father and grandpa. He had an enthusiasm for riding four wheelers and side-by-sides. Chuck enjoyed watching football - specifically the Kansas City Chiefs, wrestling, and motocross. Playing darts was a passion, Chuck was in a league with his best friend Tom and other close friends for many years. He was known to always have a handkerchief and his bubba cup on hand because no matter the temperature, he was always hot. Family was always important to Chuck, he made it a priority to attend gatherings and reunions.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father Jerry H. Richards and Bob Roberts; his uncle Stephen Richards; grandparents Hugh and Suzanne (Morgan) Richards; and grandson Garhett E. Richards.
Chuck is survived by his Mother Bonnie Roberts, five children Amber L. (Richards) and BJ Crutcher, Chuck Jr. and Katie Richards, Jake and Charity McEntire, David and Laila McEntire, Mark McEntire; grandchildren Ayden, Bryson, Geneva, Silas, Scarlett, Landon, Gage, Sterling, and Isaac; brothers Chris and Marsha Richards, Doug and Margie Richards, Ricky and Linda Roberts, Bobby and Laura Roberts; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
