

LeRoy was born on March 17, 1944, in Milan, Missouri, to Robert Carlos and Nora Clubine.
After graduating from high school in Trenton, Missouri, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1967, completing four tours in Vietnam. During his military service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal (Three Bronze Stars), and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal in recognition of his honorable service.
Following his time in the Navy, LeRoy began a 30-year career with Consolidated Freightways as a local truck driver, retiring at the age of 53. He later worked part-time in Animal Control for the North Kansas City Police Department. He also enjoyed assisting his wife with her tax preparation business for many years.
LeRoy met the love of his life, Roby, in 1976, and they were married in 1977. Together they built a loving blended family, and he took great joy in supporting and participating in the lives and activities of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Roby Clubine, of the home; his children, Michael (Madelon) Robb of Gladstone, Missouri; Steven (Allison) Robb of Turney, Missouri; Kimberly (Steve) Challenger of Rogers, Arkansas; Debbie (Randy) Gengelbach of Plattsburg, Missouri; Robert (Vicki) Clubine of Des Moines, Iowa; Rebecca (Todd) Heermann of Liberty, Missouri; and Thurman (Pam) Hoskins of Altamont, who became a cherished member of the family.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Lyle, Dale, and Roger Clubine; and his sisters, Dorothy Crockett and Rebecca Campbell.
LeRoy was a proud member of the VFW, DAV, and the Northland Elks Lodge in Gladstone, Missouri.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119 on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM with Visitation from 1:00 PM until service time. A Reception will follow. Committal Services will be held privately by the family at White Chapel Cemetery, Gladstone, MO.
