It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Colton James Stock, who was born on January 5, 1989, in Kansas City, Missouri. He gained his wings on January 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Colton held a special place in his heart for his cherished son, who will carry his memory forward with honor & love. He will be profoundly missed by his loving family, including his devoted mother, beloved sister, cherished aunt and seven nieces and nephews as he reunites with his father in eternal peace.
As a graduate of Rockhurst High School, Colton excelled in the debating arena, piquing an interest in politics. However, his great enthusiasm was for sports, leading him to a position as a Little League Coach as well as an accomplished Black Belt in Karate. He had an aptitude for the slopes and, after mastering skis, he pursued a passion for snowboarding. Many considered Colton to be a computer whiz. Addressing an interest in A.I., he was to start college this month in the IT field before the unexpected loss of his young life.
As a supporter of the Missouri Conservation Department, he had a great love for wildlife and found peace & serenity in nature. Colton was the consummate advocate for the underdog, often participating in humanitarian opportunities. From serving in soup kitchens, plowing snow for the safety of school children and doing yard work for the elderly, he extended his hand quietly & compassionately to those less fortunate.
Above all, Colton was devoted to his family - his immense love evident in his insightful conversations & personal writings, now treasured in reflection & memory. His infectious smile will be missed.
Rest in peace my son. You will never be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
