Daniel Wayne Early, 63, died peacefully on June 19, 2022. Dan was born on July 27, 1958 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Claude and Sarah (White) Early. He graduated from Raytown High School in 1976. Dan married Sherry Lynn Frazier, the love of his life, on May 21, 1983. Dan and Sherry bought their first house in Kansas City North in 1985 and then moved to Gladstone, Missouri in 1987. They started their family in 1991 with the birth of their daughter, Mazie. In 2001, their son, Mason, was born. Both children brought joy and pride to their parents. His children remember their father as fun-loving, determined, and hard-working. He encouraged both of his children to be all they could be including excelling in their educational achievements and careers. He was a generous person who loved making others’ lives brighter. Dan was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and a warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He volunteered his time by coaching and assisting with youth softball, basketball, and soccer. He also participated in activities for cub scouts and boy scouts. During his lifetime, Dan enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, roller skating, and volleyball.
Dan worked as a route driver throughout his career. While employed by Schwans, Dan received their 2002 Driver of the Year award as well as the 2002 Route Delivery Person of the Nation award. For the last 11 years of his career, he was employed by Matheson Tri-Gas where he received several safe driver awards.
Dan is survived by his mother, Sarah Early Edwards; wife, Sherry Early; children, Mazie (Lucas) Sadler and Mason Early; siblings, Darin (Candy) Early and Candy Parker as well as many nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Claude L. Early; his stepfather, Eddie F. Edwards; his sister, Claudia K Early; grandparents, Clyde and Frances Early, Johnnie and Lorene White; step-grandparents, Ira and Candace Edwards; uncles, R.W. Early, Terry Early, Richard White, James White; aunt, Lilas Gibson; cousin, Ronda (Early) Watson.
In addition to flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Ability KC for the benefit of the Rose Fund, 3011 Baltimore Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64108.
A visitation for Daniel will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 6 to 8pm, the funeral service will occur the following day, Friday, July 1, 2022 starting at 10am, followed immediately by the burial committal service all at White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery.
