Darlene E. Haynes, 87, of Kansas City, died November 2, 2015 at home. She was born November 9, 1927 in Alta Vista, Kansas to Rinold Gustav Zimmerman and Emma Marie Wahl. Darlene was baptized into the Christian faith on December 18, 1927 at the family home. Darlene married Marston L. Haynes, of Clifton, Kansas, on December 21, 1947 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Alta Vista. Darlene and Marston raised two children, Cynthia Sue and Dana Leigh. Darlene was a faithful member for many years of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and was preceded in death by her husband Marston on August 18, 1990. Darlene is survived by her daughter Cynthia, son Dana, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Saturday November 7, 2015 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with a visitation from 10-11 AM Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Alta Vista, Kansas and Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Kansas City, Missouri.
