He was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, on June 29th 1952. David worked for Northland Auto for over 18 years before moving up as an equipment manager at The National for 13 years. He then retired to be a full time caregiver for his mother until her passing in 2016. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing and camping with his co pilot Alex. David also enjoyed cooking at the Boy Scout campouts, where he earned the name "two pots brewing", in the tribe of Mic-O-Say.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, Betty deMontel, and Brother Steve deMontel.
David is survived by his two Brothers, Monty deMontel, and Ted deMontel, his Wife Jacquie deMontel, Nephews, Clinton deMontel, Garrett deMontel, Joey deMontel, Matthew deMontel, Niece Jessica deMontel, Melissa Woodruff and many other friends and family.
