The son of Ms. Desmond Gray Potter, Mr. Gray was a member of the US Army serving one tour in Germany from November 1965 to 1967 returning to the US for Aircraft Maintenance School in Alabama. After graduating, he served two tours in Vietnam with the 355th Aviation Assault Support Helicopter Co (HVY) in Long Binh (1968-1969 & 1970-1971). Mr. Gray received 15 Air Medals, 4 with Valor Honors. Mr Gray was also a member of Dopius Cross Post 15 American Legion in Ashland, New Hampshire.
Mr. Gray is preceded in death by his mother, Desmond G. Potter; his father; and brother, Bryan Potter.
He is survived by his son, Benjamin; 3 brothers, Rick (Bev) Nobley, Dana Potter, and Lance Potter; 3 sisters, Gaylen (Larry) Lange of Waco, Texas, Penni (Larry) Mathews of Oklahoma, Florida; his loving granddaughter, Breanna Walver (for whom was apple of his eye); sister-in-law, Fay Potter; and 16 nieces and nephews.
