He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Dave and sister Martha. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; his daughter Ann (Dale), his son Paul (Joni), daughter-in-law Carolyn, brother Karl, his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dave went to school at Turner High School, and attended college classes at Findley Engineering, Park University and Graceland. He enlisted in the Navy and served on the U.S.S. Collette during the Korean War.
He started his drafting company, D.E. Morris & Co. in 1965 and kept working until he was 80 years young and was a member of NISD (National Institute of Steel Detailing). Dave would be up early every day, either working at the office, landscaping in his yard, or remodeling in his home. Dave was an avid golfer and he loved the Chiefs, sports and music. He liked cards and was good at the game. Rumor has it that a certain casino in Vegas kept their eye on him. Dave and Carolyn enjoyed more than 40 years together, traveling the world, entertaining friends and family, loving their grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was, and is still, well loved, and will be sorely missed.
