He graduated from State Fair Community College in 1979 with an Associate Degree in Agricultural Management. He lived in Sedalia, MO until 1980 when he moved to Kansas City, MO.
Due to the daily prayers of his best friend Paul Carter and his mother Patty, David married the love of his life, Alice Carlson, on July 15, 1983. They have two children: a daughter Julianne, born in 1987, and a son Glen David, born in 1993. They also have a granddaughter Mikayla Marie, born in 2010, who Poppa called his M&M. Over the years David has become a second dad to most of his children’s friends.
David worked at Stuart Hall Paper Company for 20 years and then for DST-Output/Broadridge for 17 years until he was forced to take disability retirement.
David and Alice have attended Shoal Creek Community Church since 1997.
David leaves behind to mourn his loss: his wife Alice, of the home; his son Glen and his fiancée Shannon; his daughter Julianne and her husband Gabriel and daughter Mikayla, all of Kansas City, MO; his parents Gene & Lena Zvacek and his sister Anne Rasco and her husband Jason and daughters Abigail and Brooklyn, all of Lee’s Summit, MO.
He also leaves his children of the heart: Meghan Gibson (Chuck Sanchez), Marisa Webb, Elyse Bowers, Reanna King (Alaric), Edgar Ramirez, Matthew Russell, David Jones (Reina), Ashley Jones, Danielle Hall (Shannon), Dillon Anstine (Melissa), Dakota Anstine (Ariel), and all of their children.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joseph and Edna Zvacek and Glen and Etna Riffle. He was also preceded in death by his children of the heart, Dylan and Cody Mike.
A visitation for David will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 1:30 PM; White Chapel Funeral Home (6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. A committal service will follow services Saturday, January 8, 2022 in White Chapel Cemetery.
