Deborah Lynn Boyce

She is survived by her parents, Ron and Diane Holderman; her husband of 37 years, Larry Boyce; her children, Amanda Ellsworth, Melissa Nix, and Justin Boyce; her grandchildren, Shyann (31), Jensen (16), Alaina (14), Avery (12), Harley (8), Henry (6), and Amelia (3); and several nieces and nephews.

Debbie was a creative and caring soul who found joy in making things for the people she loved. She loved going barefoot, spending time at the beach, and enjoying the simple things in life. She also enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with her husband, Larry, creating memories together and enjoying the open road.

She had a sweet tooth and loved baking. Having learned the art of cake decorating from her grandmother, Jean, Debbie would often make elaborate wedding and birthday cakes for anyone who wanted one. Her cakes were made with love and became a special part of many family celebrations.

From a young age, Debbie was always caring for others. She spent years babysitting her nieces, nephews, and little cousins before becoming a lunch lady with the Independence School District. After retiring, she returned to what she loved most— taking care of children— this time spending her days babysitting her grandchildren and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Debbie was always helping and taking care of others, whether she knew them well or had just met them. It simply didn't matter to her; if someone needed help, she was there. She was someone you could always count on, and she never hesitated to lend a helping hand.

Her kitchen was often the heart of her home. She was always cooking, baking, and creating something new for everyone to try. She loved feeding the people she cared about, and if you ever left Debbie's house hungry, it was your own fault.

Debbie was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her creativity, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family touched everyone around her. She gave so much of herself to others and will always be remembered for the love and care she shared so freely.

She will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119 on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM with Visitation from 12:00 Noon until service time.
