

Debra May Chamberlain, age 73, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026. She was born on June 21, 1952, in Springfield, Ohio, to Harry and Doris Horton. Although born in Ohio, Debra spent most of her childhood in San Mateo, California, where she graduated from San Mateo High School in 1970.
In 1970, Debra married Stephen Morgan, and together they welcomed two sons, Michael and Sean, who remained the pride and joy of her life. As a devoted mother, she could often be found cheering from the sidelines and serving as team mom for her boys' baseball teams, creating countless memories and supporting not only her own children but many others along the way.
Debra moved to San Jose, California, in 1994, where she built a successful career in the technology industry. Known for her dedication, determination, and strong work ethic, she worked for several respected companies, including 3Com, Google, and other technology firms throughout Silicon Valley. No matter where she worked, Debra was known as someone who could always be counted on and who never hesitated to lend a helping hand.
In 1995, while working as a waitress, Debra met Frank Chamberlain. The two quickly formed a deep connection and were married soon after, sharing many happy years together.
Family was the center of Debra's world. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren: Matthew Morgan, Khylei Hurtado, Marilyn Morgan, and Kaden Morgan. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with them and took great pride in watching them grow.
Debra was known throughout her neighborhood and among family and friends as "the neighborhood mom." Her door was always open, her advice was always thoughtful, and her heart was always generous. She was a wonderful listener who made everyone feel welcomed and cared for. Whether someone needed a helping hand, a warm meal, or simply someone to talk to, Debra was there.
She also became famous among family and friends for her potato salad and award winning chili, dishes that were staples at family gatherings and celebrations. Holidays, cookouts, birthdays, and family reunions were especially meaningful to her.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Doris Horton; her beloved husband, Frank Chamberlain; her brother-in-law, Charlie Womack Sr. ; and her nephews, Charlie Womack Jr. and Jordan Ortiz.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Morgan and Sean Morgan; her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Morgan, Khylei Hurtado, Marilyn Morgan, and Kaden Morgan; her four sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Debra's legacy lives on through the family she loved so fiercely, the countless lives she touched through her kindness, and the memories she created with everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her loving heart, unwavering support, and the way she made everyone feel like family.
