She was born on January 8, 1942, and raised in Bevier, Missouri. She worked for TWA, Bond Construction and retired from EXLTube in Kansas City, where she worked her way up to controller of the plant using her wit, self-drive and educating herself through college courses.
Delores enjoyed reading, spending time with family, and relaxing at the lake. She will be remembered for her love and dedication to family, her home style cooking, and always lending an ear to listen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Bertie Harris, her brothers, James, Harold and Johnnie Harris; and sister Sarah Harrison. Delores is survived by her husband, Kenneth Jones; sons, Brian and Christopher Jones; and brothers, Virgil and Robert Harris.
She leaves behind five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Delores will be greatly missed by the family that she brought so much love and joy to throughout the years.
A visitation for Delores will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
