OBITUARY

Dennis W. Wichman

September 24, 1949April 19, 2021

Dennis W. Wichman, 71, of Parkville, MO died unexpectedly on April 19, 2021. He was born in Seneca, KS and grew up in Topeka, KS. Dennis received his undergraduate degree at Washburn University and his master in business at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dennis had various accounting jobs during his career as a CPA. His latter jobs included working for Frito-Lay as the Operations Manager for distribution centers in the Midwest zone and working for Kirk Welding Supply as the Vice President of Administration. He retired in 2008.

His passions included coaching basketball and baseball when his sons were growing up. He was an avid golfer rarely missing a day off of golf. If the weather wasn’t conducive to play, he went south spending the winters in Florida. Dennis was not a man to do anything halfway. He would put all his energy into whatever passion he had.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Rita Wichman. His son, Joseph, unexpectedly died on November 6, 2019. Dennis is survived by his wife, Marilyn, son Jeffrey (wife Brooke) and grandsons Clayton and Cooper; brothers David (wife Andrea) of Austin, TX; Duane (wife Denise) of Liberty, MO and sisters Marilyn Bean and Linda Neumeyer (husband David) of Oklahoma City, OK.

A private Mass at St. Therese Church will be held for family only.

We at Kirk Welding Supply were so fortunate to have Dennis helping us to learn the business side of business. His passion for the financial side of the business was contagious and you had to learn from him. He was a pleasure to be around both at work and at leisure. RIP my friend.
