Diana was kindness itself.  Road trips and depositions were always an incredible learning experience and a hoot!  I will always treasure her friendship and support.  She will be missed.

I have been struggling for days to find the right words to adequately describe Diana; there are not enough.  I hit the Lottery of friendships when Diana became my neighbor in elementary school.  She told me then that she was going to be an attorney and she was…a damn good one too!  Diana brightened my life for 50 years with unconditional love, fierce loyalty, fun adventures, a killer smile with a wicked sense of humor and laughter; the kind of gut busting laughter that leaves your ribs hurting the next day!  She was the strongest person that I have ever known and battled cancer like a true champion…tough and no complaining.  My mind knew that she would eventually lose that battle but my heart cannot imagine a World without her love and smile.  I will forever be grateful for our friendship and will forever miss her.  Sending love and support to Randy, Karla and family.

I met Diana in college at UCM, and life would never be boring after meeting her. She was so fun and could make the whole bar laugh with her antics. My brother, who went to college with us, passed away last March. I know the two of them are in heaven, having a few drinks and having the best time. 
Diana lived just up the street, and although we did not see each other very often, she would stop and make some wisecrack when she saw me out walking the dog.
She loved so completely. Randy, her sister, her nieces, and so many others, including myself, are better today because of her love for us. 
I am just beginning to realize just how much I will miss her. Love you Diana! 

I met Diana on the volleyball court during summer VB practice when my family moved to Excelsior Springs when I was going into my sophomore year. She was incredibly nice to me and appreciated having another tall girl around! We played VB and Basketball  together for two years until she graduated ahead of me. Tough, tough athlete and competitor. We lost touch until about 5 or 6 years ago when we played together on an all women's team at Gregg Williams Golf Tourney. Boy did we have a blast and it was so good to see her and hang out again on a competitive field. Diana your laughter, wit, and kindness and all the memories we made off and  on the courts  will stay with me forever. Rest In Peace and blessings to your family.

I met Diana at UCM in one of many lines we waited in as Freshmen.  It was my first time being away from home and we started talking and something about her just made me feel like things would all work out.  We became roommates and when thinking of her, remember her smile, laugh, intelligence and positive outlook.  So many good memories!  Everyone loved her.  She is gone far too soon and will be missed by all who knew her.   Sending my sincere condolences to Randy, Karla and her family.     

Diana was a primary care patient of mine for many years. During her visits, we would address whatever medical issues she had, and then we would spend the rest of her visit just talking about life, travel, politics, and the news of the day.
She filled up whatever space she occupied with her resonant voice and charismatic personality. She suffered fools poorly, and I'm sure was always the smartest person in any room she might have found herself.  
The thought that Diana Jordison is no longer on this earth makes me feel very sad, and diminished. She really loved life and fought so hard to stay in it.  I just feel fortunate to have known her, to have had her trust, and been a part of her life, even in a small way.
My heart goes out to her family and friends at this time of her loss. I'll never forget her, as long as I live.

Knowing someone Since childhood, reveals their true character and spirit and Diana had both  to spare in the best of ways.
 A fierce competitor on the volleyball court, as well as the courtroom, her brilliance and confidence most often delivered victory and achievement for the good.  The more “underdog” the situation, the greater her satisfaction in winning, and enthusiastic was her celebration!  In the early years, enduring her victory dance was more painful than losing whatever contest was just lost.  She did manage to moderate that later in life, somewhat.
Enjoying  good adventure, and  inviting co-conspirators  to enhance the fun with love, some mischief and that trademark laughter, was her joy.   Many years in the making, her missing puzzle piece in life was found in Randy. And Randy found his in Diana.    Together, they have shown many of us how a life well lived is so much better when great friends and family are invited to share the journey.  
Diana will live eternal in our hearts and, I’m pretty sure, will reach down from time to time to remind us to live life’s adventure to the fullest and under nobody’s terms but our own.  

The world lost a big bright shining light when D crossed over. She was such an amazing person. I worked for her for two short years 16 years ago, and have loved her ever since. She was just the best. She truly was. 🤍

We are neighbors of Diana and Randy and have enjoyed that for many years. I loved Diana's sense of humor and always enjoyed when we just ran into each other outside and could visit.:)  Diana was a very caring person and when it was mentioned how she loved animals that is right on the money! I loved seeing her with Rex in her lap headed out for a drive. Both she and Rex clearly enjoyed these trips! She would sometimes stop and visit when I had our dog, Cocoa Puff out on walks. Diana was a good, kind and caring person and she will be missed.  

I knew Diana from law school on. We hit it off immediately. After she graduated and I returned from the military we were on opposite sides of our cases and fought like cats and dogs but we were always friends. She will be sorely missed.

I was one of her clients she adopted like family.   I was honored and humbled when she asked me to treat her and her family medically subsequently.    She always had my back and always put me at ease.    Doctors don’t often feel this way about lawyers but Diana was one of my favorite human beings I ever met.   Rest well my friend.

It was my great fortune to have Diana as a mentor. She was a teacher at heart with extreme patience for a young attorney learning the ropes. She was the reason for many firsts in my career. I will miss her smile, laugh, wit, and intellect. I’ll especially miss her friendship. Rest easy in peace eternal, boss.

I was honored to have Diana as a professional colleague for the past seven years. An encounter with Diana always made you feel better with her smile, laugh and words of encouragement.  She will be missed. 

Randy, Diana, Rod Hightower and I were celebrating 1981 New Year's Eve together.  That morning, I landed my first job at MW Builders.  Randy and Rod left our table to go to the restroom.  Diana looked me right in the eye and said "Kendall, how much money are you going to make at your new job?"  I said, "$400 a week."  She said, "Wow, that's a lot of money."  I knew right then Diana was going to be a great trial lawyer.  And she was.  I will miss Diana very much.

Although I had not run across Diana since our early days as summer clerks, I will not forget her one of a kind presence.. When Tom Bender and I joined HAB in the summer of 2018, she was one of the first to come greet  me and make sure I was all set at the firm.  We shared old stories and found that we had many similar acquaintances over the years. Her infectious hospitality was always  appreciated.  May she now be able to rest in  true peace. 

I had the pleasure and excellent learning experience of co-defending many cases with Diana. I always looked forward to seeing her. She was smart, well prepared, strong and always gave her clients top representation. Equally important,  she was civil, funny and fun to be around. Blessings to her family and all those who loved her. Thank you for sharing her with the rest of us. 

There was never any question when Diana was around.  She had a commanding voice and an infectious laugh, and she always greeted you with a smile and a warm greeting.   She was loved by her clients and respected by her opponents.  She was a presence, and her absence will be felt.



Diana was one of the most extraordinary people I have ever been blessed to encounter.  She has given so much to so many and now is her time for peace.  She has left all of us with memories that will continue to inspire.  Dirk Vandever and The Popham Law Firm
