Diana Lynn Sears

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Diana Sears at the age of 69.

Diana (Diane) Lynn Sears (Roberts), 69, of Parkville, MO, passed away peacefully with her husband and daughter by her side on Monday, May 5, 2025, in Platte City, MO under the care of hospice.

Diane was born in Kansas City, MO on July 23, 1955. She lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and joy. Diane found happiness in the simple pleasures—she loved being outdoors in the sunshine and spending time at car cruises with her beloved husband of 44 years, Doug Sears. Her beautiful smile lit up every room she entered, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

In her younger years, Diane enjoyed running and staying active. Later in life, one of her greatest joys came from being a proud and loving grandmother to Gage and Jayden Summers. Her family was her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her husband Doug Sears, her daughter Stacey (Rich) Summers, grandchildren Gage and Jayden Summers, her mother-in-law Annalu Sears, her sister Jackie (Kevin) Dull, and her brothers-in-law Larry (Ericka) Sears and Chris Sears. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack H. and Betty J. Roberts and brothers-in-law Curtis Sears and Brad Sears.

Diane will be fondly remembered by her family and dear friends. Her radiant smile, joyful spirit, and deep love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
