She was born January 27, 1951, in Kansas, the daughter of Dale and Virginia Rose Kanan Whitaker.
Dianna graduated from Oak Park High School with the Class of 1969. She graduated in 1975 from Kansas University with a Psychology Degree and continued her education in film study. She received her Phi Beta Kappa Key. She then received her Master’s in Public Administration.
Dianna worked at the Community Service Administration from 1974 to 1980. She then worked at American Nurses Association, finishing her work life at EPA, retiring in 2013.
She was an avid reader, lover of movies and music. And a mother to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Virginia Whitaker; siblings, Jackie Charles Whitaker, Michael J. Whitaker, Patrick Allen Whitaker, and Deborah J. Pummill.
Dianna is survived by her siblings, James D. Whitaker and Mary Ann Craft; nieces and nephews, John Pummill, Jennifer Barker, Patrick Craft, Susan Masters, Thomas Ware, and Laura DuBow.
