I got the pleasure of doing Dixie's nails for the past 25 years or so! I even packed up my stuff and went to see her at Wexford when she wasn't able to come to me anymore!! She was a beautiful lady, inside and out! I loved our time together! She will be greatly missed!! I'm happy she's not suffering anymore! Rest in peace Dixie! I love you! Love, your nail tech and friend, Sherry Walker 😘🙏

Dix and I became friends at 15. Together we went to Jewell where we roomed for four years. She was the popular one, certainly, with loads of boyfriends, cheerleading. Until she met the love of her life, Tom. She fell hard. We were in each other’s weddings. I have missed being with her for many years but was so very happy to have spent a few hours together fairly recently, reminiscing about everything as well seeing lots of pictures of her boys, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. I will always miss her. Rest In Peace my dear friend.
