Born June 30, 1941, in Kansas City, Kansas, Don will be remembered as a passionate Christian and devoted husband and father.
Married for nearly 35 years to his beloved wife, Christa, Don cared for her until her passing in 2011. Don then married Shirley Smith, and they enjoyed almost ten happy years together. Don was an exceptional father to his children, and a wonderful Opa to his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don was also a loyal employee of Trinity Lutheran Hospital, where he worked in the Engineering department for over 30 years.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; his son, Robert Kluge; and his wife, Christa Kluge.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his sister, Joanne; and his children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, who all love him dearly.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 24th, at 10 AM, at Newcomer's
White Chapel Cemetery in Gladstone, MO. The family suggests donations to Beacon of Hope Hospice in Oak Grove, MO.
