Dorothy "Dottie" Ellen Stewart, 93, died peacefully on January 30th, 2019. Dorothy was born on May 31st, 1925 in Maryville, Missouri to Cleo and Bess Lane. Dorothy married Smith Stewart and moved to Gladstone where she began work at the Kansas City Art Institue. She then started her own business, Graphic Design, a typesetting business. Dorothy and Smitty welcomed 2 children into this world, Michael and Jeffery. She was a driven, well acomplished women and an incredible mother. She was loved and cherished by many and made a lasting impact on so many lives. She was an active member of Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church and Soroptimist International Kansas City Northland and volunteered at NKC Hospital Auxilary and the Clothes Closet.
Dorothy is survived by children: Michael and Jeffery, grandchildren: Jesse, John, Brian, Laura, and great grandson: Lincoln.
