Earl E. Schmidt, Sr., 88, of Kansas City, MO joined his Lord on May 23, 2015. Born May 12, 1927 to Lawrence and Nannie Schmidt in Jefferson City, MO. Earl proudly served in WWII; first with the US Navy and then with the US Marines. He retired in 1992 from Certainteed Corp., after 25 years of service. Earl was a dedicated member of Northland Abundant Life Church. Earl was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Marjorie Lee; a grandson, Eric; his brother, John, and sister, Margie. Survivors include sons, Mickey (Kathie) and Dennis (Celeste) Schmidt; brother, Tommy (Joyce) Schmidt; grandsons, Brian (Melissa), Jeremy, and Jesse Schmidt; and great grandsons, Haden, Bennett, and Logan Schmidt. Services are set for 2 PM, Thursday, May 28, 2015 at White Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends from 1-2 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Northland Abundant Life Church.
