Eddie was born in Marceline, Missouri to Henry and Ival (McCollum) Robinson on September 11, 1935.
He was preceded in death by brother, Henry DeWayne (Hallie) Robinson, sister Lucille (Donald) Head, two sons, Eddie DeWayne (Emma) Robinson and David Alan (Cheryl) Robinson and grandson Daniel G. Fox III.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Ratliff) Robinson, sister, Betty Jean (Hershel) Sensenich, daughter Sherry (Danny) Fox, and a son Michael Shane (Pamela) Robinson. Eddie was blessed with six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Eddie worked at Davis Paint in North Kansas City for over 27 years, at which point he retired and moved to Plattsburg, Missouri.
Eddie’s hobbies included training and showing dogs, for which he won many awards and trophies. He hunted with numerous life-long friends. His passion was gardening, sharing his harvest, and planting flowers. After retiring Eddie spent every weekend dancing with the love of his life, Shirley. They were avid supporters of Midnight Country Band at Maysville where they made many friends. Shirley and Eddie celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in July.
Eddie was a Christian, baptized at Birmingham Baptist Church. Eddie built a life of faith, love, laughter, and family.
Celebration of life will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home at 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone MO 64119. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm with service to follow.
