Elda Lou Newkirk

Lou was born on July 14th 1940 in Wolverine, MI to William and Orpha (Pratt) Secord. After graduating high school she relocated to the Kansas City area where she later meet Bill Newkirk they married in 1969. She was a generous and witty individual who loved to stay busy with crafts and hand made projects. The family eventually settled in Cameron, MO where she worked for 25 years at Clinco Sheltered Industries Inc. The family attended Bible Baptist Church of Cameron for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Orpha (Pratt) Secord; siblings, Norvin Secord, RE Secord, Lee Secord, Dale Secord, Donald Secord, Wealthy (Secord) Jankovik , Lorna (Secord) Leslie, Frida (Secord) Strow.

Lou is survived by husband, Bill Newkirk; son, David Newkirk; two grandchildren who she loved dearly; siblings, Eldon Secord and Joyce Mulville.

Visitation is scheduled for July 11th at 9:30am with services at 10:30am and graveside to follow. All will be held at the White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone, MO.
