Eunice Buchanan went to be with her Lord and savior Wednesday, July 2 at North Kansas City Hospital’s Northcare Hospice House from complications of frontotemporal dementia disease. Eunice was born on January 3, 1917 in St. Charles, Missouri. On November 25, 1937, she married Robert C. Buchanan and they danced through life together for just over 70 years before Bob’s death in 2008. Bob and Eunice had one daughter, Bette. Bette and her husband, Bill blessed them with three grandchildren, Doug, Susan and Bob who were the light of her life. Grandma to her grandchildren, Eunice was Neema to her five great grandchildren and her great-great granddaughter.
Eunice is survived her daughter Bette Henderson(Bill), grandchildren Doug Henderson(Tammy); Susan Saving(Scott); Bob Henderson(Melanie), great-grandchildren Shayne& Shannan Henderson: Brent & Christopher Saving and Aimee Boer, great great-grandchild Lyla Saving. She is also survived by her sister Millie Peat, of Brentwood, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday July 7, 2014 at White Chapel Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to NorthCare Hospice House.
